Jigsaw puzzles require kids to find the correct piece for each hole. By contrast, “Puzzles Without Borders” allow kids to decide where they want to put each piece (animal shape) and what pattern they create. Once started, a given piece can fit in multiple places, none of which is wrong or right. Players have to see the options, decide where the piece will go and observe what pattern starts to develop. There is opportunity for self-expression and growth, hence the name, “Puzzle Without Borders”.
